On April 23rd, at 10 am, Vila do Conde will host a special moment of encounter and reflection with the realization of “The Prayer of Tiago” — a vigil open to the community that arises within the framework of the human rights movement, promoted for the activist José Tiago Sousa by Red Visión Juvenil, Escuela de Teología de El Salvador and Bastion Vert International.
More than a formal event, “The Prayer of Tiago” aims to be a simple but meaningful moment where anyone can participate. The idea is to create a space of closeness, empathy and unity — an invitation to joint reflection and the sharing of a symbolic gesture of support; based on the reading of a personalized prayer created by theologian and human rights advocate Jonathan H. Mendez.
The vigil will take place on Avenida Júlio Graça (Coreto) and will bring together citizens, friends, curious onlookers, and all those who value principles such as justice, dignity, and truth.
With this initiative, the organizers seek to reinforce the importance of a more attentive, supportive, and participatory society.
